Quilt guild tonight putting on the finishing touches for our first quilt show!

It was our monthly quilt guild meeting this evening and we have one week to go before our first quilt show!  The show will be held next Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Shepardson Building in Middlebury, CT from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  If you are in CT, then please stop by!  We will be busy Friday night hanging about 140 beautiful quilts for you to see!  There will be vendors, food, raffle baskets, our raffle quilt and more...so please do come by and enjoy the show!  So many wonderful, talented and very hardworking guild members have come together during the past year to bring this show to everyone.  The raffle quilt is gorgeous and depicts Southford Falls, which is what our guild is named after.

The picture really does not do it justice as it is a photo from our flyer, and I never seemed to have my camera when it was available during our guild meetings.  It should be a wonderful show and a busy day!

We may be a new guild but we have had fantastic programs the last two years with guest speakers such as Mark Lipinski--did you know that he just quit Quilter's Home Magazine; say it isn't so--but it is; that is another topic--Karen Eckmeier, George and Virginia Siciliano to name but a few!

Well it is past 12:00, so I need to end for tonight--actually this is October 2nd's posting, so until tomorrow, I am quiltingly yours,
